About The Weekend Tape

These Terms of Service govern orders placed through The Weekend Tape, operated by Joy and Ben LLC (doing business as The Weekend Tape). We rent guest-operated wedding camcorders and Camp Snap Pro digital photo cameras, and provide editing or file-delivery services as specified in your order. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to enter into this agreement.

Booking and Payment

For new reservations, full payment is due through our Shopify checkout when the order is placed, regardless of the wedding date. Your order includes only the equipment, services, options, and rental dates shown in your checkout and order confirmation. Prices may change for future orders, but accepted orders are governed by their confirmed terms. Earlier reservations made through previous booking arrangements keep their originally accepted payment and cancellation terms unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We may contact you to confirm delivery details or address a fulfillment problem. If we cannot reasonably provide an ordered rental, we will work with you on a replacement, alternate arrangement, or appropriate refund for services we cannot provide.

Rental Period, Shipping, and Returns

Our standard rental is seven calendar days, ordinarily scheduled around the wedding date. The rental start and return-by dates in your order details and subsequent written instructions are controlling. Standard shipping both ways is included unless checkout clearly states otherwise. You agree to return all reusable equipment and accessories using the supplied or approved return label and packaging by the stated return deadline. Do not assume that an estimated carrier delivery date extends your rental.

Additional rental days and rush services, when available, are charged as shown at checkout. Expedited preparation or carrier service cannot guarantee delivery by a particular hour or day. You are responsible for supplying a complete, accurate, and accessible shipping address and for contacting us promptly if a delivery, equipment, or return issue arises.

Care of Rental Equipment

All reusable cameras, media, batteries, chargers, lights, cases, and accessories remain our property. You are responsible for their reasonable care and timely return, including when guests, friends, family members, or vendors use them. Ordinary wear is expected; loss, theft, non-return, missing items, and damage beyond ordinary wear may result in reasonable repair, replacement, cleaning, or recovery charges permitted by law and the rental agreement.

A return that is late may incur a fee of up to $50 per day as described in the Kit Rental Agreement. Reasonable replacement charges for a lost, stolen, unreturned, or irreparably damaged camcorder will not exceed $1,700 per camcorder. Other item-specific limits and conditions appear in the Kit Rental Agreement. We may invoice you for charges properly due under the rental agreement, with an explanation of the amount and basis for the charge.

Guest-Filmed Footage and Deliverables

The Weekend Tape is a guest-filmed experience, not a promise of professional videography or complete coverage of any specific event, vow, speech, person, or moment. We cannot guarantee the quantity, content, recording quality, or usability of footage or photos captured by guests.

A camcorder rental generally includes an edited approximately 3–5 minute wedding home movie and all usable raw clips. An Extended Weekend Tape upgrade targets approximately 8–10 minutes. Usable raw video is generally made available within 72 hours after we receive the returned equipment; the standard edited film is generally delivered within 3–5 weeks. Rush Edit, if selected, targets ten business days after receipt. These are estimates and depend on receipt of accessible files and equipment.

Camp Snap Pro-only rentals do not include a wedding film or video editing. Accessible photos from returned photo cameras are generally delivered digitally within 72 hours after receipt, review, and transfer. We may review, organize, and make light general adjustments to photo files; individual retouching or a particular edited look is not promised. Your delivered files are intended to remain available through an online gallery for one year after delivery. Please download and back up the files you want to keep.

Permissions and Creative Work

You are responsible for giving appropriate notice to your guests and obtaining any permissions legally required for filming, photographing, recording, and sharing content at your event. You authorize us to handle the files delivered to us for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We exercise creative judgment in assembling the home movie, and requests for changes are reviewed individually; no particular number of revisions is guaranteed.

Cancellations and Changes

Our Refund and Cancellation Policy applies. Requests to change a wedding date or shipping arrangements are subject to availability and may involve additional actual costs. We do not promise that every date change can be accommodated.
